Privacy Policy

Crossline is a service operated by Skelvon Labs LLC ("we", "us"). It links Discord channels, Telegram groups, Slack channels, and people who follow and reply by text message into one conversation. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Your phone number, when you text Crossline.
- The name you choose to show on your messages.
- Messages you send to Crossline and messages we deliver to you, along with delivery status.
- Consent records: when and how you joined, left, texted STOP, or texted START.
- Your settings, such as quiet hours and pauses.
- Early access requests: if you fill out the early access form on this site, your email address, server or group name, answers about your group, and the tag on the link that brought you here, if it had one.
- Where visits come from: when you open this site from a link that carries a source tag (for example a listing or an ad), we count that the tag brought a visit to a page. We do not record who visited, and we set no tracking cookies. If you then add Crossline to a Discord server, we note the tag with that server, to learn which links bring groups that use Crossline.
- Discord information for people who post in a connected channel: their Discord user ID and display name, so their name can appear on the posts and texts we send.
- Telegram information for people who post in a connected group: their Telegram user ID, name, and username, and the group's ID and title, so their name and group can appear on the posts and texts we send.
- Slack information for people who post in a connected channel, and for the admin who installs Crossline: their Slack user ID and display name, the workspace's ID and name, and the channel's ID and name, so their name and workspace can appear on the posts and texts we send. Slack sends us messages from channels Crossline has been added to; we keep and bridge only channels an admin has connected. We also look up the names of people mentioned in a bridged message, to write them for the other chats, and we do not store those. When a workspace installs Crossline we also keep the access token Slack gives us for that workspace, encrypted, so we can post in the channels it connects.
How we use it
- To deliver messages between the connected chats and to your phone, and to post your replies in them.
- To honor your choices, including STOP, LEAVE, PAUSE, and quiet hours.
- To keep a record of consent, as required by phone carriers and applicable law.
- To prevent abuse, fix problems, and keep the service running.
- To contact you about early access and plan the service, if you asked for early access. We don't add you to marketing lists.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not send marketing texts.
Who can see your messages
Crossline is a group conversation. Texts you send are posted in the connected Discord channel, and in any Telegram group, Slack channel, or other channel bridged with it, under the name you chose, where anyone who can read those chats can see them. They are also delivered to the other people following the channel by text. Messages posted in a connected Slack channel are copied to the other connected chats. When you edit or delete a message, we try to do the same to those copies, but we cannot promise it: a copy that has been texted to a phone cannot be recalled, and a chat that does not let apps change their own posts, or that the app can no longer reach, keeps its copy. Your phone number is never shown to other members or to server admins, not even in part. Admins see a short code beside your name so they can tell members apart. Messages bound for phones are checked by an automated service for content the carriers forbid; a message that fails the check is not texted, and its author is told once a day if they use Discord, Slack, or text.
Service providers
We share information only with the providers we need to run Crossline, and only for that purpose:
- SMS providers (such as Twilio) to send and receive text messages.
- Discord, to post your messages in the connected channel. Discord handles that content under its own privacy policy.
- Telegram, to post your messages in a connected group. Telegram handles that content under its own privacy policy.
- Slack, to read messages in a connected channel and post messages in it. Slack handles that content under its own privacy policy.
- Anthropic, whose model checks messages bound for phones against the carriers' rules and writes digest summaries. The message text and the sender's display name are sent to it for that purpose.
- Email and payment providers (SendGrid, Stripe) to send our email and take payment for plans.
- Cloudflare, which carries traffic to this site and to Crossline.
- Hosting and database providers that store our data on our behalf.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you use Crossline and as long as needed to run the service. Message text is deleted after 90 days. We keep a record that a message was sent, without its text, along with consent records and delivery records. Consent records, including STOP requests, are kept so we can continue to honor them and show compliance. The name and ID we hold for someone who posted, including a name someone chose and kept after leaving a channel, stay until they ask us to delete them. Messages already posted in Discord, Telegram, or Slack stay there unless they are deleted there. When a workspace removes Crossline, we delete its access token and its channels leave their bridges. Early access requests are kept until your server is connected or you ask us to delete them.
