Text message opt-in
Last updated October 2, 2026
This page shows, word for word, how a phone comes to receive texts from Crossline, a service operated by Skelvon Labs LLC. Crossline texts from (405) 766-7764. Nobody receives a recurring text until they have opted in from their own phone, and there is exactly one way to do that: send a keyword from the phone itself. An admin cannot enroll anyone. There is no web form, no list upload, and no import.
Program: Crossline, by Skelvon Labs LLC
What you receive: messages people post in the Discord channel you chose to follow, and in any Telegram group or other Discord channel bridged with it, relayed to your phone as [Name]: message, plus replies to your keywords. Your replies post in that channel and those groups, and reach the other phones following it.
Frequency: varies with channel activity, never more than 36 text segments an hour to one phone. Quiet hours are 10 PM to 7 AM by default.
Cost: free for people who follow a channel by text. Message and data rates may apply.
Opt out: text STOP at any time. Help: text HELP, or email support@crossline.stream.
Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We do not share mobile numbers or opt-in data with third parties for marketing.
Opting in: the pinned notice and JOIN
When a server admin connects a Discord channel, Crossline posts this notice in the channel and pins it. It is the call to action. Every member of the channel can read it, and it carries the number, the keyword, and the disclosures. The follower count updates as people join and leave.
The person texts JOIN to (405) 766-7764 from their own phone. That text is the consent. Crossline replies with the confirmation, then asks what name to show on their messages. Both are shown below exactly as they are sent.
The same JOIN from a link or a QR code
An admin can hand out the number as a link, sms:+14057667764?&body=JOIN, or as the QR code below, on a flyer, a bulletin, or a screen. On a phone, either opens the person's own messaging app with the number and JOIN filled in. Nothing is sent until the person taps send: the text is theirs, it is the same JOIN, and it gets the same confirmation shown above. Crossline never sends the first text. A link an admin shares may fill in a short code after JOIN, like JOIN 7K3MD: the code says which channel's link was used, so the admin can see where followers came from. It identifies the channel, never the person, and JOIN on its own always works.
Some channels take new followers by approval. Their pinned notice reads Text JOIN to (405) 766-7764 to ask to follow this channel by text from Crossline. An admin approves each request. By texting JOIN you agree to receive texts from Crossline. followed by the same disclosures. The phone still texts JOIN first; it gets one reply, Crossline: You asked to follow #general on Maple Guild by text. An admin will look at it, and you'll get a text if they approve., and nothing further unless an admin approves, when it gets the same welcome and name prompt shown above. A request that is declined or not decided within seven days gets no text.
There is no other path. An admin cannot text an invite, add a number, or enroll anyone. The first text is always the phone's.
Opting out, help, and after
- STOP
- Reply: Crossline: You're unsubscribed and won't get more texts from Maple Guild. Reply START to resubscribe. One confirmation, then nothing. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT do the same, and so do ALTO, PARA, PARAR, DETENER, CANCELAR, and BAJA. STOP is honored before anything else Crossline does.
- START
- Reply: Crossline: You're resubscribed to #general from Maple Guild. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Only the phone itself can resubscribe.
- HELP
- Reply: Crossline: Your texts post in the channel you follow. Keywords: NAME, PAUSE, QUIET, STATUS, LEAVE, explained at crossline.stream/keywords. Reply STOP to opt out. Every keyword is described at crossline.stream/keywords.
- LEAVE
- Reply: Crossline: You've left #general. Text JOIN to come back anytime. Stops texts from that channel without a carrier-level STOP.
What is never sent
- No marketing, promotions, or messages from anyone outside the channel. Every relayed text is a message a member posted in the channel the phone chose to follow.
- No texts to a phone that has not sent JOIN from itself, other than single replies to keywords the phone sent.
- No texts after STOP. No texts during a phone's quiet hours. No more than 36 text segments an hour to one phone.
- Messages that may break carrier content rules are not texted. They stay in the chat they were posted in.
